ParcAberporth Unmanned Systems

Europe’s Premier Demonstration Event!
In June 2008 attendees from all over the globe participated in Europe's premier event for the unmanned systems industry!

Record numbers of exhibitions filled the indoor and static display areas and the event schedule expanded to include two Forums.

With 21 expresssions of interest to engage in our live, choreographed demonstrations the flying programme also promised to be the best yet. Complex scenarios, displaying a diverse range of both civil and miltary application, were rehearsed during the practise days but, unfortunately, were severely curtailed at the event due to adverse weather.
The conditions served to emphasise the challenges facing this emerging sector!

ParcAberporth Unmanned Systems (PAUS) is hosted and arranged by the Welsh Assembly Government at ParcAberporth – Europe’s only dedicated Unmanned Systems technology park.  ParcAberporth brings together a very special combination of resources to create an exceptional environment for US businesses to test and develop their products. This includes Europe’s only civil licensed airport enabled for routine UAS operations, and a dedicated UAS operations centre, which facilitates all aspects of civil and military flying.

"The facility here is by far the most superior facility I've seen yet.  There are many test facilities in the USA but they are more military driven....you have a simple and elegant approach to it here, proving it can be done."  Scott Keough, Advanced Ceramics
