Conferences:
The event programme expanded to include two half day Forums spread over the afternoon of Wednesday 25th and the morning of Thursday 26th June. The Forums covered a broad range of topics pertinent to both the civilian and military sectors, and were chaired by Dewar Donnithorne Tait of AUVSI on the first day, and QWing Commander Richard McMahon, RAF on the second. Demonstrations were scheduled to take place on both event days but were severly curtailed due weather conditions.
We were also delighted to welcome the hugely succesful ASTRAEA* Annual Conference 2008, which was held on site on Tuesday 24th June in the ParcAberporth Forum marquee.
*ASTRAEA is a £32M programme researching, developing and validating the necessary technologies, systems, facilities and procedures to promote and enable safe, routine and unrestricted use of UASs.
Networking:
The event presented excellent netowrking opportunities at the Exhibition Drinks Reception, the Gala Dinner, and throughout the Exhibition Hall!
