Target Group to create 30 new jobs in Newport
Financial software and servicing company Target Group is expanding following another significant contract win.
As a result, more than 30 jobs will be created at its servicing centre at Tredegar Park, near Newport.
New roles are being created for arrears and customer service executives, finance and compliance staff and other specialist financial services positions.
While much of the financial services sector has spent the past few years in decline Target has been increasing its turnover by 20% each year and creating new roles.
“Our state-of-the-art service centre near Newport delivers customer service operations and arrears management services for some of the world’s leading financial services companies. We’re expanding rapidly,” said chief executive officer James Snow.
The news coincides with Target’s outsourced servicing division’s achievement of the Investors in People standard. In addition, it also achieved the prestigious Leadership & Management model accreditation.
Target’s outsourced servicing division has now joined the ranks of 1,963 Welsh companies to have attained Investors in People status and is one of only 96 companies in Wales to have secured the Leadership & Management model accreditation.
Rhiannon Williams, head of human resources, said: “We recruit bright, ambitious professionals from a wide range of backgrounds. We’re proud of our achievement of the Investors in People standard and the Leadership and Management model accreditation. These achievements demonstrate our commitment to developing a learning culture at Target. We’re supporting our staff as they develop their careers and give them every opportunity to shine.”
