Further information on Chongqing and Wales relationship
Market
Wales enjoys a burgeoning relationship with the municipality of Chongqing, a region experiencing outstanding economic growth.
To help Wales based businesses take advantage of this relationship and of potential business opportunities, International Business Wales (IBW) are offering an opportunity to attend our trade mission on the 6-13 March.
The Mission will also take place during ‘Wales Week’ which will include a number of high profile events and an academic delegation will also be visiting Chongqing during Wales week, organised by the British council for Wales.
Opportunities
Opportunities for Welsh businesses exist in several sectors including automotive, sustainable technologies, healthcare, ICT, aerospace, amongst others.
Cost
The cost of the Mission, net of an IBW 50% discount towards travel and accommodation for eligible Welsh companies, is £575.
The price includes return airfares, 5 nights accommodation with breakfast, in-market and pre-mission briefing in Wales.
This offer is available to one participant per eligible Wales based company.
Flight upgrades available at your own cost.
Please note that travel insurance is not included and no management fee will be charged.
It is important to recognise that the resources and effort which go into arranging these activities and the financial support offered to participating companies are, in
reality, a direct investment by the Welsh Assembly Government into Welsh companies.
It is essential therefore, that through International Business Wales, the Assembly ensures that it invests wisely. Therefore, all participating companies need to demonstrate a clear commitment to maximising opportunities, either in terms of
identifying and securing business, or in exploring market potential.
