Creativity & Entrepreneurship Event

University of Wales, Newport announces a sponsored Sandpit event for US and Welsh companies focusing on Re-thinking doing business in different markets. Competitive advantage in a post-recession 21st century economy requires identifying big themes and next generation opportunities that straddle a number of sectors and interest groups. To seize these opportunities we need the right environments, tools and techniques where creative exchange, innovation, risk-taking and even play can flourish, in other words, a Sandpit. Our Sandpit offers a dynamic space where ideas can be quickly built-up, knocked-down and re-shaped over and over again, until finally the strongest emerges.

The Sandpit has two questions for 'players':

• How do we create a culture of doing business differently focused on market needs?
• How can we gather meaningful intelligence about our audience?

Sandpits are part of Newport Business School's new Entrepreneurship oundation which has been established to offer leadership development and entrepreneurship programs with the mission of developing the business champions of the next generation:

• Imaginative thought leaders who bring together strategic thinking; creativity and innovation to shape the organisation of the future
• Leaders who are equipped to navigate their organisations safely though new and uncertain times
