Join us in 2010 as we do the business in Latin AmericaThere's a superb opportunity to make your mark in four important growth markets this summer and autumn, as IBW organises two strategic missions to Latin America. Places are now up for grabs - with W80 members being given the first opportunity to get on board.

Bill Fraser sets the scene and provides information on how you can get involved

Argentina - a large and growing economy... and a very Welsh connection

Mexico - a strategic location for trade

Argentina saw solid growth of between 7 and 9.2% pa before the recession. A slight blip and it's up and running again. A very strong domestic market is being driven by the construction industry, automotive sector and oil and gas, while agriculture remains a massive economic driver.   The sheer size and scope of Mexico's economy make it a nation where opportunities abound in many key sectors. But it is also an unrivalled gateway to other markets - north and south - taking advantage of its 0% tariff trading arrangements with both the EU and NAFTA countries.

Brazil - All eyes are on Latin America's largest economy

Chile - a smaller market but abounding in opportunities

Brazil's is the largest country in South America and the world's tenth largest economy... rich in natural resources with several core strengths such as aerospace booming. And further opportunities are now emerging as the country gears up to host the two biggest sports events on the planet: the Olympics and the World Cup.   Chile currently occupies 20th place among the most attractive countries to do business, with a stable and growing economy. British companies already have a significant foothold here too, and there are some sectors in particular looking to do business on an international basis.

Flight into the unmanned future

When IBW sets up overseas meetings for Welsh companies with potential collaborators, it doesn't do it alone. It has a worldwide network of 'in-market partners ' to call on. These are established companies, often leaders in their field, keen to work with Welsh businesses.   The UAV sector in Wales is going from strength to strength, involving an ever-widening network of suppliers and sub-contractors. This August in Denver the AUVSI's Unmanned Systems North America will bring together industry leaders.
Find out how one of our US partners has been setting the aerospace industry alight. If you would like to know more about the opportunities this will present, read on.
